The Cozumel beach clubs are an industry I was not familiar with before visiting this island. The beaches on the island are public and you can technically visit any of them you want to, provided you don’t mind walking through a resort you aren’t staying at to get to it; the other alternative is to visit one of the Cozumel Beach Clubs on San Francisco Beach . These are private restaurants/bars with chairs and umbrellas, usually restrooms and even a pool in some cases that have been built to cater to beach hoppers. You may pay a fee to enter the club itself or simply be expected to purchase a reasonable number of drinks and snacks while using the facilities. One caveat is to choose your club wisely because some are honestly just tourist traps, while others offer an upscale experience with excellent facilities, food, and drinks.
