Sunken Meadow Beach, Long Island

Sunken Meadow Beach is located in the town of Smithtown in Suffolk County, NY. I have been there many times. It's easy to get to - it's at the end of Sunken Meadow Parkway going north. I love my evenings out on the boardwalk, or watching the ocean waves as the sun sets. It's nice that they have some live music on wednesdays evenings during the summer, with plenty to eat. The beach is clean and the boardwalk is wide and 3/4 of a mile long. I remember the days when I would come to the boardwalk for my evening jogs. The sand is a little rocky, as many of the north shore beaches on Long Island are. This is my favorite north shore beach.
